Sirius Vision eSports

Thirteen thousand screaming fans in a sold-out Staples Center watching the League of Legends Final in October raised the question – has the western world finally narrowed the eSports gap between itself and South Korea?
Not so fast. eSports in 2014 might be reaching unprecedented popularity and stature around the world, yet one thing remains true – Korea is number one. If eSports were a game of Civilization, then Korea discovered the right eSports technologies first and built the Wonder.
They’ve got unmatched infrastructure, tougher competition and better players than every other region put together. European and American organizations are evolving successfully along their own lines, in response to their own environment and market. But when they attempt to remake themselves into the image of their Korean rivals, the results can be catastrophic.
