UPDATE: Ronda Rousey
released a statement Sunday night after her surprise loss.
"I just want to
thank everyone for their love and support. I appreciate the concerns about my
health, but I'm fine," she explained on Instagram. "As I had
mentioned before, I'm going to take a little bit of time, but I'll be
back."

Ronda Rousey's 12-fight
winning streak is over and her first MMA career loss, which many have called
the biggest UFC upset in history, has landed her in the hospital.
About 59 seconds into
the second round of UFC 193, opponent Holly Holm, 34, kicked the 28-year-old
UFC Women's Bantamweight champion in the head, knocking her to the ground, and
then continued to fight her before the referee pulled her away.
"She was
transported [to the hospital] because she got knocked out," UFC President
Dana White later told reporters about Rousey. "And her lip was split in
half...and they had to sew her lip."
"I mean,
obviously, she's completely bummed out and depressed," he added.
UFC fighters are often
hospitalized after suffering injuries during fights.
