Mokokchung witnessed its first Cosplay

The town of Mokokchung in Nagaland celebrated its Quasquicentennial (125th) anniversary at P. Shilu Park. In this celebration, Cosplay makes its first entry in the town where 16 individuals took part in the open category, and one participant in the Chibi category.

The judges were from the Nagaland Anime Junkies (NAJ), Kohima and the following were declared winners, namely
1st: Sungjemen as Hanji
2nd: Odiben as Mikasa
3rd: Chuba as Bucky

Consolation prizes were also given to the following participants: Alemchizung as Hidan, Alila as Erza, Chinook as Gaara, Nukmen as Death, and Akai as Ichigo.
The Chibi participant Imlinaro as Red Riding Hood was also awarded with a consolation prize.
The declared winners were awarded with cash prizes and a limited edition of ‘Manga’ sponsored by NAJ.
Rajesh Soundararajan, the ADC of Mokokchung, was the chief guest during the event and distributed these awards and certificate of merit to the winners.

There were other activities as well including Tug of war, Seminar for farmers, panel of discussion, Nagaland open freestyle dance competition, and fashion fiesta.
